A Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib) Apprenticeship is 1-year duration course that blends classroom instruction with real-world library experience. Offering worthwhile work experience improves employability and may result in employment chances at libraries or other relevant organizations. Typically, enrollment in or completion of a B.Lib program is required for eligibility. Universities, libraries, or government agencies provide these apprenticeships to help students develop their professional library science abilities. Students acquire practical experience in fields such as digital archiving, cataloging, information retrieval, and user services. Usually lasting a few months, the apprenticeship assists students in putting abstract ideas into practice

Eligibility:

To qualify for the  B.LIB Apprenticeship program, applicants need to meet the below-mentioned eligibility:

  • Educational Requirements: Passed graduation in relevant field or equivalent degree course from a recognized board or high school.
  • Skills and Abilities: Basic computer office software knowledge with effective communication skills.
  • Previous Work Experience: Previous work or volunteering experience will be valued
  • Documents: Desired industry offer letter, required certificates and IDs
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the local language, can understand English
  • Has to be committed and dedicated to their work.
